Hi Friends!

How is everyone?

Do you have a warm weather vacation planned for this winter or spring?

I am just coming home from 5 amazing days in Florida and I thought I would share what I packed in case you have a trip coming up.

We spent 5 days in Marco Island Florida.  This was not our first trip here so we had a pretty good idea of what to expect and what to pack.  That said, I am a habitual over packer, and yet again, I over packed.

My travel outfit is all about comfort which I am sure most of us can relate too.

I wore these incredibly soft and comfortable navy blue pants from Loft, a white t-shirt because you can wear it with everything, a really soft and comfortable pullover in this pretty periwinkle color also from Loft, my white Stan Smith sneakers, and my denim jacket that absolutely goes on every trip with me.

For warm weather trips where we will likely spend most of our days on the beach or by a pool, the first thing in my suitcase is bathing suits and cover-ups. I brought this new black bikini with the colorful band, two other floral high-waisted bikinis as well as this tropical leafy one-shoulder suit. I like to keep my cover-ups neutral like this white button-down, this white with blue embroidery pullover dress, and this black wrap skirt.

I also pack a few casual skirts and dresses that can be dressed up or down. A pair of white jeans with a few tops. A nude pair of heeled sandals and a nude pair of flat sandals. These can all mix and match well for shopping, or going out to dinner. I brought both my black and white Old Navy short sleeve v-neck bodysuits because they work so well with everything including my favorite leopard print Amazon mini skirt and my white jeans. This black and white blouse with puff sleeves is great with white jeans or a pair of denim shirts. And I had to pack my favorite orange gauzy Gibsonlook dress. I love the smocked bodice and the maxi length of this dress. And when we did some shopping at Evereve while we were in Florida I got this new bright floral dress with a smocked bodice and a tiered skirt as well.

I also packed a few things to go to the gym. Movement and working out can be hit or miss on vacation but for this trip, my husband and I both started every day with a short visit to the gym. I don’t have fancy gym clothes but I do have a few brands I love including Athleta, Baeleaf from Amazon, and Old Navy. I love my crew neck and tank tops from Old Navy and my bike shorts from Athleta as well as my other looser fitting shorts from Baeleaf.

For almost all of my trips I use the same luggage. My favorite carry on bag from Calpak, my favorite wheeled carry on from Away, and my medium suitcase from TravelPro. And the most important thing about all of these is what’s on the inside – packing cubes! I can’t pack for any trip no matter how much I am bringing without packing cubes! Do you use packing cubes?

The other things I always pack for trips to warmer climates are a straw bag that I can use for the beach or to carry as a purse, an extra purse or evening clutch, jewelry, a good book, all of my toiletries, and chargers. Here are a few of my travel other necessities.

I hope this helps you pack for next warm weather vacation!

Safe Travels!
